Chanukah in 2006 will start on Saturday, the 16th of December and will continue for 8 days until Saturday, the 23rd of December.

Note that in the Jewish calander, a holiday begins on the sunset of the previous day, so observing Jews will celebrate Chanukah on the sunset of Friday, the 15th of December.
